On one hand, the much lighter weight, which eases the handling and allows an easier fixation of the assembly within a rack or something similar. On the other hand, the reduced risk of damaging components, which can easily occur when using common stainless steel sanitary clamps in combination with plastic parts. If the stainless steel clamps is tightened too much, plastic components are often damaged due to the high pressure – this can hardly happen when using plastic sanitary clamps.
