Valve diaphragms are some of the wearing parts within a production facility that are being used in really high quantities and need to be replaced in certain maintenance intervals. They are one of the parts that are to be renewed most commonly at the yearly inspection. This leads to high overall maintenance costs of diaphragm valves. Our exchange membranes are convenient and reasonable alternatives, that fit diaphragm valves made by Gemü, SED, and other known cGMP valve manufacturers.
GMPTEC diaphragms are made of high-quality and approved polymers and can also easily be used in any cGMP process. You will receive high quality exchange membranes that perfectly fit the common diaphragm valves in terms of shape, size and material.
We offer membranes in the following materials:
EPDM – The most commercial material for diaphragms. It is a soft sealing material and has great chemical resistances against commons liquids used in GMP production facilities.
Viton – A very though fluororubber membrane, suitable for processes that require a high resistance against chemicals and temperatures. Membranes made of Viton are also soft sealing and perfectly suitable for applications with high temperatures.
EPDM/ PTFE – A compound of two flat membranes. The majority is made of EDPM material, in order to guarantee the flexibility of the diaphragm. However, the surface that gets in contact with the actual product is made of PTFE, which remarkably increases the chemical and also thermal resistance of this membrane type. This type is also suitable for CIP/SIP processes.
EPDM/TFM – This type of membrane is similar to the mentioned EPDM/PTFE combination and also consists of two different materials. Please note, that this type of membrane is only suitable for valves made by SISTO.
