Reinforced Silicone Tubing

The reinforced silicone tubing is suited especially for applications which require a high pressure or vacuum resistance. The tubing consists of the following materials: an inner liner of silicone, a stainless-steel spiral, an additional braided reinforcement made of synthetic fabric and an outer liner which is also made of silicone.

The reinforced tubing made of platinum cured silicone is compliant to many standards and suitable for the pharmaceutical-, cosmetic- or food industry.

Information about the Reinforced Silicone Tubing

The reinforced silicone tubing is ideally suited for the transport of highly clean products, foods and also cosmetics. Due to its high pressure and vacuum resistance, it can be used whenever a regular tubing is not enough to fulfill the requirements.

The tubing has a smooth inner liner of silicone, which is odorless and also tasteless and has no influence on the final product. The high resistance against pressure or vacuum is archived by reinforcements made of synthetic fabric and wire. This makes the tubing suitable for many challenging processes. The platinum cured silicone is free of animal components and compliant to USP Class VI, FDA and REACH. Of course you’ll receive a batch related certificate of conformity with every shipment.

The reinforced silicone tubing is sterilizable with all the regular methods. For instance, it can be used for steam-in-place cycles at 135°C with 3.5 bar pressure for a period of up to 90 minutes. A sterilization by hot air can be done at 200°C for up to 30 minutes.

Due to its flexibility and also little bending radius the tubing suits well to compensate movements of equipment or as a connection element between existing permanently installed systems or vessels made of stainless steel.
